Don Tecco

DonTecco founded the Stallions in 1991.  The team was orginally called the Westpark Stallions and their colors were Kelly Green and White.  Two years later the team changed it's name to the Strongsville Stallions.

Don was always a coaching presence during his tenure with the Stallions.  His first team was a U11 team and a year later he dropped down to coach the U9 squad.  The birth of the U9 team gave the Stallions 2 teams and thus began the Organization.

Don's teams won various championships during his time as a coach.  His 1994 U9 team won the CABA State title and that earned them a birth in the CABA World Series in Charles City, Iowa.  Don also took numerous U9 teams to the AAU Nationals at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.  Don noted that he ".....loved being in charge of younger age groups molding the talent and feeding it to the older teams".

Don left the Stallions organzation when his daughters were old enough to play fast pitch softball.  True to form Don started DiamondCHIX Fastpitch and has been running that for 8 years.

Don lives in Medina, Ohio with his wife, Lisa, and his 4 kids; Nikki (15), Lauren (13), Jake (11) and Drew (7).

When reflecting on his years with the Stallions Don mentioned "I will always remember the group from the early years with very fond memories.  Rick Lash, who agreed to become our first treasurer taking us from cash in a shoe box to a legitimate 501(c3).  Also, Don Hajden, Carl Pecoraro and Ed Warner who took over the younger teams to keep great coaching in place for years following as I started to step away".
