Welcome to the online home of Ohio's premier non-profit youth baseball organization - Stallions Baseball Club! From organizational news to dedicated team pages, this website will connect you to everything Stallions Baseball.
Stallions Baseball Club is a proud partner with the Positive Coaching Alliance! The PCA was founded in 1998 by Jim Thompson at Stanford University. Their mission is to develop "Better Athletes, Better People" through live workshops, online courses and books. The 3 key objectives of PCA's curriculum are developing:
The Double Goal Coach- strives to win while also pursing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.
The Second Goal Parent - concentrates on life lessons, while letting coaches and athletes focus on competing.
The Triple Impact Competitor - strives to impact sports on three levels by improving oneself, teammates, and the game as a whole.
In March 2014, Stallions Baseball Club coaches participated in a mandatory "Double Goal Coach" workshop. Over 40 coaches attended and learned practical ways on how to balance the biggest challenge in youth sports coaching - how to effectively and consistently balance the desire to win with player development, while at the same time teaching important life lessons through the game of baseball.
The goals of the PCA are in direct alignment with the mission of Stallions Baseball Club, and we look forward to continuing our partership in 2015 and beyond!
